As part of the National Unity Day celebrations, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unveiled a ground-breaking initiative called “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)”. This digital debut at Kartavya Path on October 31st is a historic event that ushers in a new era of possibilities. The establishment of a powerful organisation called Mera Yuva Bharat Platform was approved by the Union Cabinet on October 11, 2023, with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi serving as the advisor.

Youth Empowerment for a Better Future

The goal of Mera Yuva Bharat Platform is to provide young people the power to drive progress. Giving people equal opportunity to improve the country is the goal, with an emphasis on building a “developed India.” This platform serves as a link between young people in the nation with mentors, programmes, and their communities. It’s intended to increase their comprehension of regional problems and give them the tools to identify solutions.

About Mera Yuva Bharat Platform

Mera Yuva Bharat Platform is an effort that is committed to serving India’s youth, namely those between the ages of 15 and 29. It’s a “Phygital Platform,” which combines digital and physical elements to create a special ecosystem of potential. It’s more than just a digital platform.

Taking Care of the Needs of Diverse Youth

India’s youth are crucial to the country’s future, particularly as it approaches its 75th anniversary of independence and plans to create “Amrit Bharat” by 2047. Unifying youngsters from rural, urban, and rurban (a mix of rural and urban) backgrounds on a single platform is essential to achieving this aim. “Mera Yuva Bharat” seeks to establish a cogent structure.

A technology-driven platform is crucial in today’s fast-paced society, which is marked by instantaneous communication, the widespread use of social media, and cutting-edge technologies. It links young people to skill-building programmes and gets them involved in community service.

A Transformative Platform

Mera Yuva Bharat Platform is a “phygital” ecosystem that enables youth to become agents of change in their communities rather than merely a digital project. They serve as “Yuva Setu,” a link between the people and their government. One such instance is the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” initiative, which was conducted through the Department of Youth Affairs website and resulted in the planting of 23 million trees nationwide by 50 million youth. “Mera Yuva Bharat” seeks to seamlessly link millions of young people in order to expand on previous community-centric initiatives.

Objectives of Mera Yuva Bharat Platform

  • Developing leadership abilities via hands-on education.
  • Empowering young people to lead their communities and innovate socially.
  • Coordinating young people’s goals with community needs.
  • Maximising effectiveness by combining current programmes.
  • Serving as a central location where government ministries and young people can meet.
  • Establishing a youth database in one location.
  • Enhancing two-way communication to better engage young people in government programmes and other stakeholder-related activities.

Mera Yuva Bharat Platform is an initiative aimed at encouraging the youth of India to take ownership of their future and make a positive impact on the country’s development. This platform aims to empower, transform, and inspire young people for a better future.
